Sign Language Workshop

Home / Sign Language Workshop - April 25, 2011 , by childrensworld

Hello Families,

This Friday April 29th from 5-7 at the (“Big”) Lincoln School Hannah Tashjian will be doing a workshop about using Sign Language with children to enhance their learning and play. We will be practicing useful everyday signs as well as learning songs and games for practicing sign language (and developing fine motor skills!)

Hearing children benefit greatly in their language development when sign language is incorporated into their vocabularies and motor memory. These signs can also be useful when children are hesitant to speak or feeling shy or upset. Most importantly these signs are fun and easy for them to learn!

The workshop will cost $7. We ask that your children do not attend this event with you, there will be no childcare available for them. Pizza and salad will be provided.

Please email Hannah to register for this event (we need a headcount by Thursday) or if you have any questions!

Thank you so much!
